Oh well, just an excuse for me to return to Boston in the winter. Such a disappointment since that's what Tony recommended. My only sadness was the fact that they do not serve clam chowder in the summer. I would totally give 5 stars if the guy didnt put salt all over my chicken nuggets. I also loved how their fries felt home made and my meal gave me a sense of nostalgia. Like the meme, the flavors were melting on my tongue. ![]() But it's full of delicious goodness and definitely worth the stop if you are a seafood junkie like myself. The burger / Anthony Bourdain special was SO juicy and flavorful. You are served on a paper plate with your plate stuck in a paper bag. There's a grand total of 8 barstools and a counter looking out the window over the highway and you have a front row seat for watching incoming planes. Seating is limited and you might have to wait. They actually had canned Hawaiian Punch, lol. Cans of soda were self serve in the cooler for a buck each. ![]() The kids had the two dog platter and split it and it was perfect for them. (And it was HUGE) I asked him what he like best as his meal included, fish, shrimp, clams, and scallops, and he said it was a toss up between the clams and scallops. My husband ordered the fried platter and finished every bite. ![]() (Extra tarter sauce, which I needed, was an additional quarter) It was simply delicious. Each meal included fries, onion rings (freshly battered and homemade), cole slaw, and tarter sauce. I was served two huge fillets of haddock, lightly battered and fried with coating that stayed adheared to the fish. Basically, he says that one of the best ways to find great, out-of-the-way restaurants in foreign countries is to become a secret internet troll. I ordered a fish and chips, which is tied, imo, with Yankee Seafood (also in Boston) as being the best fish and chips of my trip. In a recent interview with Time ‘s Megan Leonhardt, Bourdain shared a travel tip he called provoking nerd fury, and it’s utterly wild, in a brilliant sort of way. Upon entering you see a fresh fish counter, and behind the counter an open back window to the water. Most people would drive right past this building, thinking it was part of the adjacent gas station if you weren't specifically looking for it ( as I did) so keep a close eye or turn up the volume on the navigation system. This place is without a doubt a hole in the wall, sort of place, but if you are in search of good, fresh, quality seafood, this is the place to go.
